Well my wife and I got in Monday afternoon after a ten dat trip to Japan. We flew down to Okinawa for a three day scuba excursion. On our first day there the weather was 80 degrees with a slight drizzle of rain, so we did two beach dives which ended up being an ocean inlet in the town of Naha. Visibility was around 25' with a water temp of 75 degrees. Not the greatest dives but seen a few hard corals and exotic fish when we dove. Second day we did three boat dives in different locations . First dive was Black Island, 85 weather bright and shiny, 80 water, 50 max depth with 90' visibility. So many corals and fish that we couldnt begin to believe the abundance. Even seen a 6' shark hiding in a cave that everyone tried to see. Second dive was Gishipu Island where conditions where just as good and we watched a couple of octopus doing the mating thing and dove with a school of Black Tang , amoung all the other forests of coral and fish. Third dive same conditions and me getting a bit of a sun burn....forgot to cover my head...Zamami Island where we dove with several sea turtles, boy to see them at 40' under is such a thrill. They are so natural looking in there own territory. Only wish I had an underwater camera to catch all the things we saw but our guide screwed up and didnt check her batteries before heading out , so all I got are a few i took with a store bought disposable underwater camera and it just doesnt do the pics any justice.
