I went diving today at my local breakwall for lobsters. I've only gone lobster diving 2 or 3 times, so I'm pretty unexperienced.
But today, I was lucky and unlucky. I caught two, but one was too small. The other one, I put in mybrother's dive bag because I didn't have one on me. At the end of the dive, he told me he lost the whole bag. And he had one of those really nice lobster bags that was $60. We're gonna try and dive for it again this week.
The one legal sized lobster(the one in the bag), when I caught it there was a baby lobster with it. Will the baby die without it's parent?

Thanks,
Tom

Baby lobsters are mini adults, and come from planktonic stages. They never even see their parents, unless they come across them later in life. If they're still small their parents may even eat them!! Now THAT'S love.

lol... a fine time to think about this!!

but no, rest assured, the "baby" is fine as stated above, to the best of
my knowledge.

Not unless we eat them first... LOL.
Too bad about your lobster bag Cafka - I lost my compass once and it was a real pain in the buttocks. If you're lucky you may still find the bag with the lobster still inside!

I went night diving yesterday and We found the bag with my lobster in it!!!
It was pretty cool, I can't believe we found it especially in the dark.
But later I had a pretty scary thing happen.
I was scanning the ground for lobster and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and I went in a cave. All I saw were rocks all around me except for a hole just barely enough for mytorso to fit through, right in front of me. So I try fitting through, but there's no way I'm going to make it. So I'm freaking out, I starting sucking down my air fast and I think this is it, I'm going to die here. At first I think ok take off my BC and take a breath and try to fit through, but i knew that wasn't the best idea. The sediment over there is really fine and I was kicking it up so the visibility was getting pretty bad.
Eventually I keep looking and looking and I find a bigger hole, which I swim through and I'm hoping I'm not going deeper into a cave. Fortunately I made it out and to the surface. Thinking back, if I were to fit into that smaller hole, I could just be in another cave. I was always carefully of not venturing into caves, I just don't know how that happened.

Where was your buddy?

That has got to have a pucker factor of 10!!!

We got separated. It's happened before during the day and we always knew we would regroup.
Now I realize that we really have to stay close together.
