I did the Baani Explorer in May 2006 & May 2007 Both great trips. But only 3 Dives a day if you can handle that. Great diving!:D

The Adventurer is the sister ship & a year newer. We did 3 Atolls. The weather was great both years but you are taking a chance. Its very hot, bring good sun screen! No much relief in rooms. The biggest difference between the boats the Explorer has cover on the top deck the Adventurer does not. But the diving is great from both!

Thanks Greenflash. Very much appreciate your comments. I'm surprised about the heat in May. I was concerned about it raining the whole time as opposed to being too hot!! All the weather info shows May as the start of the rainy season.

Did you mainly do Ari Atoll on your trips?

Hi, we're off on the Baani Explorer 1st March. I've seen great reviews on it and only one negative. I hear they are very similar. Feel free to message me mid March (I'll forget) and I'll let you know how we got on.

Yes most of the time is at Ari Atoll! We did see A whale shark in 2006!

We went for the Explorer because that was the only one of the two with availability - simple as that really. The diving is the most important thing for us as we are staying on an island for the second week. Also, I liked the look of these boats, similar to those in the red sea.
