Hybrid Kydex vs aluminum. Any thoughts? Looking for advantages and disadvantages over each other.

Kydex is lighter, flexible, doesn't dig in. Aluminum is "tougher", has a bit more weight to it, and can withstand high temps better than kydex. I went with Kydex and am happy.

I have both, and like both. I've used the Kydex plate for singles and doubles, and the aluminum only for doubles. Both are light. The Kydex has some flexibility to it that the aluminum doesn't have.
