Hi Everyone,

We took our first booked open boat (Sunfish), out to the Islands yesterday, Sunday, Aug. 12th. All our previous trips have been Charters.

The vis was an unbelievable 100 foot plus! And the water was a beautiful blue color, also. I got in 2 dives, and the second one was better than the first. We were at Fish Camp on Anacapa, for the last 2 dives of the day.

There were black sea bass, yellows, barracuda, giant bat rays, and numerous other critters spotted.

The water was 71 deg at the surface, and get this, I was diving a 3/2 wetsuit. If you get a chance to get out there soon, go for it. These are the best conditions I have ever seen.

Thanks,
Rick
