I had an up close & personal encounter with a large Sea Turtle this morning.
I was diving the blocks at S. Brohard. Towards the end of the dive, I was moving into the shallower area, looking for teeth, when I felt something nudge my arm. At first I thought that the surge had pushed me into one of the blocks. When I looked to see what was nudging me, I discovered that this block was moving! Here it was a large Sea Turtle!!
I guess she didn't see me until she bumped me. I floated up & over her back & she looked at me over her right shoulder, opened her mouth & started to swim towards me.:shocked2: I told her "whoa girl!! I'm just as surprised as you are!! Relax, I mean you no harm!":blinking: I backed away & she calmed down.
I'm no worldly scuba diver but I have been to the Keys & Cozumel & I gotta tell ya that I consider this dive, in 12 ft of water, off of S Brohard Beach, to be the best dive ever!!
