There has been extensive discussion lately regarding average gas consumption. A poll may help give us a better idea of what the normal distribution of RMVs is.
1 cu ft = 28.3 liters 1 liter = 0.035 cu ft

<0.3 cu ft/min = <8.5 l/min
0.3-0.39 cu ft/min = 8.5-11.0 l/min
0.4-0.49 cu ft/min = 11.3-13.9 l/min
0.5-0.59 cu ft/min = 14.2-16.7 l/min
0.6-0.69 cu ft/min = 17.0-19.5 l/min
0.7-0.79 cu ft/min = 19.8-22.4 l/min
0.8-0.89 cu ft/min = 22.6-25.2 l/min
0.9-0.99 cu ft/min = 25.5-28.0 l/min
>1.0 cu ft/min = >28.3 l/min

I know this in an old thread. I was going through my last 200 dives. My average depth per dive is around 15m. Obviously I do deep dives but end up shallow. My best sac rate was on a shallow 20m mod with 7.18l/min and the highest sac rate was on a 45m mod with 9.85L/min

I seem to be in the 8L/min give or take average overall. When I do need to plan dives for longest time I use 12L/min as my max sac rate..

Piss off lol

I think I must have been in a trance that dive lol. Was my last dive of one vacation and was out with some OW divers and the DM. Slow gentle dive with a very slight current.

I've had a student who had a rate of 7.5l/min. And that was not in 28°C but in 12°C. Impressive.
My own rate is very temperature dependent, below 10 in 29°C tropical waters and up to 17 during drysuit dives in <10°C water.

Yeah I dove with a Canadian lass with 50 dives total and she used only slightly more air than I do and I've needed to manage my air. lol

I'm diving in nice warm waters in Taiwan Philippines Indonesia around 28c mostly but some cooler water to 24C in the deep sometimes. T shirt and shorts only.

I was pretty happy with my 14.8 l/min in 17C water today, that was until you pricks started yapping

There is always room for improvement. :) 17c rather cool but not like freezing Lake Burley Griffin in winter in the ACT.
