I am setting up a recently purchased compressor system and I was hoping to get some help with what looks to me like the autodrains. I cannot find a maufacturer id and do not have the manual. The ss tube from the bottom of the water trap between stages and the ss tube from the bottom of the filter colesor feed into the bottom of the autodrains.

Here are my questions:

1) What is the purpose of the 2 round knobs at the bottom of the units?
2) What is the purpose of the brass fitting at the top left? I am thinking it might be the discharge since I cannot find one elsewhere?
3) On the picture from the rightside what is the purpose of the small clear tube feeding in from the top right and the one feeding out from the bottom?
4) How should I setup and operate the autodrains?
5) Is there any regular cleaning and maintenance I should complete?

Thanks, John

The brass knobs are for manually draining. You can manually drain each seperator while the compressor is running. Just drain until no more water comes out.

In terms of the auto drain normally you want to drain every 15-30 minutes depending on the humidity in the air. If you want to be conservative set them to auto drain every 15 minutes. I have mine set to go every 18 minutes myself.

Mine go every 18 minutes for 10 seconds...

Any idea how the condensate drains out? I was thinking the large brass connection on the left side of the unit. I will find out once I fire things up but it would be nice to know in advance so the I can be prepared.
