We have a new but growing one here in Raleigh. It really helps if you can get a sponcor that has a pool. We have 3 dive shops cooperating, one with a pool and one at a quarry. We rotate the meeting between the shops and do photoshop or composition discussions at the one who does not have any water. A fun thing we do in the pool is to set up our own artificial reef and shoot pictures of it. It's a lot of fun and an easy way to practice your setting and composition. After about 90 minutes in the water we retire to the classroom to look at our work and munch a few snacks.
Here are several of examples of our pool reef. The last picture is a SB member who is not around to defend herself right now :)

Just need people :)

I would be very interrested in such a group. I have been looking for like minded divers to get together with. I used to dive years ago with the underwater photography instructor for Nikon. And I was in a past life a professional photographer. Do not really have a good place in mind to meet.

So I am game. Let me know when and where.

Nikonos V
Olympus 5060 digital with underwater housing.

Sent you a PM. Sign me up.
Checked out your aquarium. Beautiful.
BTW, nice looking family but god awful ugly colored shirts. You need some good maroon colors. (Gig-em)

hehe, Hookem Horns!

In terms of timing for a meeting, weekday or weekend? I was thinking about kicking this off in July, any preferences? I'll try to find somebody for a speaker and hold it at my house.

No preferences for me. As my avatar shows I tend to travel a LOT. If I am in town I am available. Leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow afternoon.

Just sent my Nikonos off for re-sealing. I am looking forward to seeing what we can organize. Just heard another story about a big catfish. I would love to be part of documenting an ecounter.

Cjames please keep me in mind and if you need any help let me know.
