Austin area

Hello all, I'll be in Austin for 10 days and would like to dive. Any suggestions for something in the area?

Lake Travis is disputedly the best diving lake in the area. There are a few recent reports in the Texas forum that should give you an idea of current conditions.

When will you be in Austin?

Travis is good at the moment, but it's no blue water diving. It really makes you appreciate it when you do see blue water. Good place to get your skills down pat.

When will you be here - there's several good events comming up - like the Lake Travis Cleanup, the Texas Swamp Divers campout, and the OH Scuba Wednesday night dives. Dates man - give us dates!

Hey it could be worse,you might have ended up in Houston

Austin and Lake Travis are only 90 minutes north of San Antonio

Go to San Marcos And New Braunfels. The San Marcos River and the Comal River are the clearest diving available. Shallow, but you'll love it!!! Ask the local dive shops where 2 go.
