ahh yes ... but you and hubby are younger and able to cope much better with these things, we need a liitle bit of luxury

Haha you sound like the opposite of me almitywife. :) I love the nightlife you see on night dives and it is fun turning off my torch and just floating in the dark. And well wreck diving is why I got into diving! But yea, I am yet to see one... so I might hate it after all :P

not that much younger!!!

hehehehe - to be honest, i also think bunk beds would be better for us

this way hubby can spread out his camera gear on the top bunks and i dont go nuts over the mess

i need to investigate flight charges for excess luggage - with his camera gear we are over the limit but one of the guys was telling me the cost for the excess and it was quite reasonable

oh - you just reminded me!!! im going to arrange a shuttle pickup from airport to Eden hotel, are you guys staying there too? do you want me to book shuttle for all 4 of us for pickup from Hervey Bay airport?

heheh - are you going to the club dive this weekend? i could ask you there

Actually have not booked accomodation yet ... must do it soon ... when are you booking the transfer?

Hey Sas ... I would find it hard to believe that you wouldn't enjoy any dive ... you seem to be like my wife ... as long as you get wet and come back it is good.

:rofl3: That is probably true!

Almitywife, I heard some airlines offer an extra 'sports' weight allowance if you tell them you are a diver. Not sure if that is something you've already looked at yet, but I was told about it at my LDS for my PNG trip next year.

yeah - Virgin is great for that but this is a small hopper flight from Hervey Bay to Lady Elliott. im not too worried as i know the stuff will get there but we have a 20kgs limit apparently and hubbys camera gear puts us over the limit

im a good packer... all dive gear plus 2 tshirts, 1 sarong and 2 pairs of knickers is all i need. i dont even take shampoo-buy it when i get there

oh, and i warned hubby im wearing my crocs from sydney airport - i blame my 2 trip buddies for the crocs!

Now almity ... isn't it about time you started being responsible for your own actions???

Just because we showed you them is no reason for you to buy a pair.
:rofl3:

yeah.... i'll remember that if your mrs, after spending a week with my hubby, starts wanting to buy hideously expensive camera gear :D

I very much doubt it will happen, she originally had a small film camera and strobe and used to find the strobe so annoying she wouldn't take it that often.
If she does want hideously expensive camera gear then ... the solution is easy ... she will just have to continue working longer
