The bag can be set up with a suitable snap swivel to attach it to your rig. mine has that but also a short section webbing with a halyard snap shackle installed I use to attach the bag to my backplate. either one can can be used to lift fish or smallish heavy bits. Bigger stuff requires specific hardware, and generally much bigger bags.
