Attach New BC Hose to 1st Stage

I have a new Mares Dragonfly Ariel I need to attach to my Scubapro 1st stage. Could anyone tell me if I can just unscrew the old hose and screw on the new one (with a wrench, obviously) and if so, how tightly do I screw it on? Or should I take it to the local dive shop to do? :06:

The oring on the new hose should be lighty coated with silicone grease and the hose should be turned in finger tight, then given a slight nudge with a wrench.

Like you said. It's really simple. Just twist it on finger tight, and then use a wrench for one last itsy bitsy push. Take the opportunity to inspect the O-rings and make sure they're in good shape.

get a spray bottle of soapy water and afte ryou have hooked up everything to your tank, spray the first stage area where the hoses connect with the soapy water, if any air is leaking, the little bubbles will form.

if you don't do this, make sure you have your buddy do a bubble check on your gear when you enter the water before you start your dive.

It's actually a good idea to get in the habit of doing this on every dive. A quick buddy bubble check, then a quick S-Drill. Just don't hold me up on the anchor line.
