Ummm, the knobs wouldn't have any affect on exhale. Only thing left is the exhaust check valve - no external pressure to dampen vibrations.

Go get wet!

I tried it in the kitchen sink and it works great at a depth of 6 inches - very smooth :D Apparently I'm not familiar with these high-end regs. My old Sherwoods didn't do it so I got a bit worried there.

MBRmedik - sorry, didn't mean to redirect your thread. I don't know how much extra you're looking at paying for the M1 but I found an LDS who gave me 20% off on the B1 - $504 (retail $630, LeisurePro $425).

Now that's a site to be had, face first, 6 inches in the sink :)

What a sorry bunch we are.

I have had the ATX 200 for several months and over 100 dives and I could not be happier. A friend of mine has the Atomic and I will admit, it breathes a little better. That being written, there is so little difference I am still very happy with what I have.

didnt look at the b1...seems pretty nice, is that enviromentally sealed. I assume so.

Let me know how that works for you (other than in the sink):D

thanks for all of your opinions so far....if anybody has more info/insight i would love to hear it

:stupid: :spank:

There is a envirionmental seal kit that is simple to install.

As another poster said, it's a "silky smooth" breather.

Don't count too much on getting a 2 year service interval. Unfortunately, twice now I've had to service it after about 1 year/100 dives/80hours. Both times because of slight IP creep. Outside of that, it has performed flawlessly.

The M1 supposedly has a different piston that solves the
IP creep problem. The same piston ('jet piston') is available
as an upgrade for the B1/T1.

BTW, I have been using a B1 for the past two years for a little
over a hundred dives. I love it!!

I've been using an Atomic T2 with a Scubapro MK20 1st stage since early 2001 and could not be happier. The T2 is the titanium 2nd stage if purchased by itself. The MK20 came highly recommended so I decided to split the two. The unit was professionaly set up mind you but again the performance has been excellent. My girlfriend just got the Atomic Z1 1st and 2nd and that as well has been flawless to date. The performance is supposed to be the same but with different internal materials. These regs are built for performance hands down and certainly wouldn't be a bad choice.
