Thanks Bob, It's not, I have an 11/16, the nut is way bigger.

Might just have to take it into a hardware store and do a Cinderella. Problem here is imperial is not common.

Fair point but most digital measuring equipment I have seen/used still has analogue markings, maybe Simon's don't.
I tend to only use micrometers if I am interested in 0.01MM or 0.001" increments. Judging a spanner size would not be one of those times.

As you can see both still have analogue measurement for when the battery dies.

Don't I feel silly, mine are the same as the second ones in Bobs picture. Looks to be around 21mm maybe a fraction less. I'll go and sit in the corner now. Thanks Chris.

Never intended to make anyone feel silly. Some of us come from engineering backgrounds and some don't. I am a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter so have done my fair share of measuring components and parts.
Aslong as someone learns then it is all good, I appreciate your thirst for knowledge and keen DIY attitude.
