Hey friends

After much deliberation I landed on the Atomic M1 for my reg (I dive cold water and warm so I wanted a good all around reg). I noticed that when setting it up with the HP ports oriented on top, the hose to the second stage doesn't have room and hits the tank so I've been having to orient it at an angle, or upside down which creates a snag hazard.

Am I missing something? Or is this how it was designed? Picture of the reg attached upside down for reference.

I have mine set so it is pointing down, 180 degrees opposite to what you have it in the picture, at an angle so the hose doesn't hit the tank. Also note, the wider area between the LP ports on the rotating turret should be facing the back of your head/neck for better hose connection.

Agree, select a side port. Alternatively, just angle the 1st stage so that the hose coming out of the bottom port can clear the tank. This is how virtually all regulators are oriented on a set of doubles.
