What do you guys think of atomic as a company and their regulators. More specifically the B2 and the SS1 safe second/inflator. they seem to be of high quality to me but another more experienced opinion cant hurt. - CDUB

Been using a B2 since 1999 and have never had any problems with it. Can';t even tell you're having to breathe.

Don't use and intergrated alternate.

Both work very well.

I own two B2 regulators and three SS1 units (daughter uses on with her ScubaPro MK25SA/S600 regulator). They have been great. The B2 breathes as good at 137 feet (deepest I have been) as it does at 15 feet.

The SS1 is an excellent unit. It can be unscrewed from the corrugated hose which allows for easy flushing of the BC bladder and easier packing.

The service interval for both the B2 and the SS1 is every two years or 300 dives whichever comes first.

yeah thats another thing i found kind of handy is that the threads at the end of the corrugated hose are matched up to that of a garden hose so it makes for easier rinsing of the bladder in the wing. Anyway thanks for the feedback i appreciate it. -CDUB

I own both a B2 and an SSI. Although, I don't dive them as much as I used to, they are excellent regs. Both the Atomic 1st and 2nd stages are engineered very well. You may already be aware that the engineers that designed the Atomic Regs came from ScubaPro.
I think you will find that most divers that have Atomics are very pleased with them. They're a good solid choice.
