I'll be using my Atom 2.0 for the first time next month. One general thought as we did some pool dives recently is this:

Since the transmitter on the reg looks very similar to the knob on the tank, has anyone had any issues with grabbing the "wrong" black knob, whether it be themselves or dive crew?

Just curious...

Not yet.... It should be pretty obvious by the way your transmitter is mounted that it's not the "black knob".

Have you a history of grabbing the wrong black knob?

Just press the top right button and the VT3 will display day of the week, temp., and time.

I am confused. If VT3 tells time, why it cannot be used as a normal wrist watch if the user don't mind the large size. Even Oceanic websit says it cannot be use as watch.

It turns off 24 hours after your last dive or if you don't dive 3 hours after waking up.
Keeping it on would use up the battery prematurely.
The time display is on a secondary screen.

If no dive is done it within 2 hours the computer shutdown to conserve battery life.

I used my VT3 in Roatan as a watch throughout the day. We had dives at something like 8, 10:30 and 2 so I kept it on between dives so I made sure I was back in time. Granted this takes advantage of the fact that the watch stays on for 24 hours after the last dive.
