Thanks to everyone for the responses, I think my wife and kids will love it.

My feelings exactly

Same place, same trip- and it was expensive! I think $250 or $300 PP - and this sub went down 700 feet; don't tknow if the one in Coz (although I've passed it many times) is a glorified glass bottom boat.

And we left from the harbor at Georgetown; you want to cry with the damage done to the wall there.

Do it once, maybe - but twice - no way

Now THAT'S the kind of sub ride I'd be interested in...for maybe one time.

I think I looked into that trip...I...umm...gimme a minute...umm, that's been awhile back and...umm, my...umm...umm...my mind is going :D...Oh yeah, they had several different depths the sub went to on different trips, didn't they?

But like you said, it is expensive...and we only brought a suitcase-and-a-half full of money to the Caymans.

The wife really liked the Atlantis one to 113 fsw...even when we went over the abyss at the Cayman Trench to turn around. With her fear of water that surprised the hell outa me.

I'm also a little surprised, with the rising cost of fuel and other overhead, that the Atlantis trip is only $24 more pp from 10 years ago. I'd rather do a 2 tank dive with the first dive to 100 fsw or so, but for someone who doesn't dive that would be a great way to let them see what we see.

But on the sub I felt like I was the animal in the cage at a zoo and the fish were looking at me. :rofl3:

Dandy if you look at the video, I am in front of the guy with the cheeks. I have a sign in my hand, that you cant see here, thats says,' Got beer?'. Lots of smiles in the subs windows!

The sub is out of the water right now being worked on, no idea when it's going back in, I just saw it when I drove past.

Here's their site, with email and free phone contact info Atlantis Adventures Cozumel :: Atlantis Submarine Expedition as well as $10/adult discount for pre-booking. Typically, no update info.

Interesting how after 3 days the link you posted Don is the some one I posted in post #15.

Sorry about my oversight. Fixed

Yep - I was just about to mention that. It's high and dry in a lot near the Mega. When I went by (last week) I didn't see any signs of work going on though - may be a while before anyone can book a trip.

Do they run a glass bottom boat there....?

I see some info on one online, but never know if those are out of date - and someone may have already posted the links which I could have missed. :silly:
