At last after all the storm delays i got my ow cert.
WOW that was a blast can't wait to get back in the water there's
a lot of water out there. where to go now thats the ? of the day

the boat dives were great besides the five foot waves the first day that made geting on the boat rough but i guess you got to get use to that.

see ya under the water !!!!!!!!!!

:medal: Yay! :cheering: Yay!

Yeah, I call the Molasses Reef Buoy at Key Largo when it's cold here (37F today) to hear how it is there. Today at noon: Air 75F, Water 79F. Nice. I'll be back around there in 4 weeks!

Boat diving in 5 footers sound better than beach diving in 5 foots. I learned how to board in 8-12s there. :shiner1: Can be dangerous. You want your BC empty when you go for the ladder.

well done
five footers, that'd be me on the beach
can't be diving in that much swell
i tried it once, still got the scars to prove it
not something i'm keen to repeat

well done diver_11, keep learning!

Glad you've fully signed up ;)

Congrats on the new cert. 5 ft. ughhhhh I get sea sick on 1ft. I remember the Jersey days when 5ft. was a good day, I just quit eating before the trip :thinkingo

Good on ya. If you're still enthusiastic about diving after dealing with 5 footers in your OW class, you're going to love it! It's all down hill from there.

I only dove in conditions like that once that I can recall, and that was for a rec. trimix checkout dive. Trying to climb back aboard with doubles and two stage bottles was quite an experience!

Agree with that. It's a good idea to do that on every dive. This way you will not have any problems when the waves start climbing.
