So, I have been playing with the idea of making a career out of this.......

but.....I do have Asthma. It was a problem as a child but I suffer from very little symptoms now. I got my AOW, no problem.

Just curious if this is a discualifying factor or not.....

It is going to depend, you will need to get a complete dive physical and depending on your age either annual or bi-annual physicals while your working. Among other things this includes a chect x-ray to aid the DMO in making a determination, if there is no visible scar tissue and you are not suffering from any symptoms presently you will most likely be cleared fit for diving.

(we often had students in the military that had suffered from childhood asthma but had no symptoms at all as adults, most went on to become divers)
