I still have not heard any response from Avery! Last I sent emails to every possible email he had listed: paypal, this site, his own website. Still nothing, crickets . . . . . Maybe something did happen to him, but I tend to doubt it. He did say he was moving so maybe he packed it and hasn't unpacked it yet!

This is the first time I've stiffed on the boards.

Avery was the manager of Silent World in Key Largo. He's still listed on their web page at Silent World Dive Center -The Staff- and Silent World -Dive Trips-, where if you click through his name under "Captains" he's listed as Recreation & Retail Manager. SW's site is a bit sloppy, shows a few 404 errors, and it wouldn't surprise me if Avery's recent departure (sounds like that) isn't reflected there yet. I didn't see him there when we dived with SW last month.

He seemed to be a very serious guy, based on the interaction I had with him as SW manager when we got our Rescue certs at SW in July 2010. The training pool was in his backyard. Hard to believe he's going to stiff anybody for used dive gear, although I don't really know him other than setting up and doing that 2010 trip. I'm guessing it's like Jax is guessing, he's moving and not landed yet.

Chris Brown, the owner of SW, may have contact info for him. If you get nowhere with any other leads, I have a Florida cell phone number for him that's a year old.

LB as previously requested please send me the paypal transaction I'd for your payment your compass was mailed weeks ago. Since you say you haven't gotten it then clearly the mail system has failed, I'll just take a loss on the compass. Sending me a money request Is not the same we both end up paying fees. A refund will result in immediate redirect to your paypal account but I need the transaction ID number.
