Would something like a housed PDA work if you're staying only in pool depths?

In my research diving experience, we've only used wetnotes and plastic paper on writing cylinders, but I've seen these used in wet labs... And dreamed about taking one underwater for data collection - but I figure it wouldn't hold up to much more than a few feet of submersion.
