Hey Paul!
I would like to offer you a different option that would fill your needs.

Looks very much like a TP. Same virtual design on the weight pockets - older version, and more expensive than TP.

Used to dive an S-Tek until about 2 weeks ago when I switched to a BP/Wing.
I will keep the S-Tek for pool work.
You can get weight pockets to put on the S-Tek waist belt to make it weight integrated.

jplacson: Can you PM me the dealer in Manila if you can find it? Really appreciate the effort. I think it was whitetip before but they don't carry them anymore.

Hallmac: That is a really nice looking BC. It is kinda pricey. The main reason I'm looking at the mentioned brands is that I have had a really bad experience with buying from the US and had no service here. I wasted some money and it really pissed me off. I'm looking for a bc that can be serviced here and under warranty here.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm leaning towards the Balance but will get a zeagle if its available.

True from the list price. They have a special price for those without a dealer near by, Sell over the internet. Have a very good service department. I bought my for under $300.00 from them a few years ago

Any opinions on the above mentioned BC's will be highly appreciated.

Checkout OMS IQpack. Philippine Dealer is Dive Buddies (JP Rizal Street, Makati). :coke:

We have had our SeaQuest Balance BCD's for several years and toted them from the Caribbean to the GBR. We like them a lot. We haven't used other back inflated BC's, so can't compare them, but we'd not have problem recommending these.

Happy shopping!
Let's get wet! :palmtree:

Just got a Knighthawk, really like it. Looked at the Aqualung equivalent (can't remember the name right now, back-inflate BC/integrated weights), looked very similar. I liked the Aqualung weight-integration scheme, was a one-pull and the weights are dumped system. I didn't like the lack of dump valves (only has one if I remember correctly), and the tank strap. Recently went diving with a friend who has the aqualung, and he had several problems with the strap not holding the cylinder well. The Knighthawk, on the other hand, has a great tank strap and I've had no problems with it.

I also just purchased the Knighthawk. I was initially checking out the Balance. I borrowed a friend's Balance, on a recent diving trip. It worked well enough for me to look into buying. Once I saw both, side by side, my mind was made up. I love the Knighthawk. The bungeed bladder & extra dumps are nice. I also prefer the ss tank strap buckle vs the plastic cam strap. Price difference was only about $20. I do however like the weight ditching better on the balance. One handed, it appears.

I Tried Several Bc's And The Seaquest Balance Seemed To Be The Best To Me,it's All Personal Preference, the Only Drawback On Backinflates Is Pockets Or Lack Of, But Thats Easy To Deal With.

I got an ok deal on a Seaquest Raider from my local LDS. I've only logged about 7 dives in it, but it's a great BC IMHO.

Paul, what's your budget? If you really want the Zeagles ... Zeagle has an official dealer here... somewhere in Manila, I can't remember the name. If you surf their site, I think it's there. I was after the Ranger once before, but for the price... I decided on a full BP/W rig instead.

You must be referring to Whitetip Divers along A. Mabini St.? A buddy recently got a Zeagle from them, I'll see if I can get the contact details.
