Hey guys just wondering if you can use a diferent brand octupus with a diferent brand of regulator?? Like I can I use a Oceanic Octo. with a Aqua lung Titan Reg?? Thanks

They absolutely will hook together and work, but I would think twice about intentionally seeting up such a rig. When it comes time to get your gear serviced, mixed brand setups may run into a "we can work on this but not that" type situation.
Whenever possible KISS

You do have to be careful in some instances. If you have an over-balanced 1st stage like the Aqua Lung Legend, you really need to have an octo (like the Legend Octo) that can handle the higher IP at depth. If you have a standard balanced 1st stage, I think you have a bit more flexibility on the octo you choose.

so basically my best bet would be to get a titan octo if I am using a titan reg just to be safe?? I would like to use a alternate air source anyone on here selling any?

I recently purchased an AL titan and my LDS sold me an Ocianic Alpha 7 octo with it. I would have liked to keep with the same brand . But the Alpha 7 workes fine.

First stages generally all output the same IP so can be used any any second stage.

Exception to this are some Posiedons that use a higher IP so cant be swapped.

Don't like that flimsy AL puck-like octo, eh? ;)

As long as you don't tell the Aqualung 1st stage that it's supplying an Oceanic Occie and vice versa, I reckon you'd be OK.

Steve is correct on this. I have had this happen before, the shop could work on my Sherwoods but not the Oceanic octo. Actually the tech could work on anything, he is an artist, but cannot get parts.
