Hello everyone.
I am planning to purchase the Aqualung helix regulator.
It comes only with the primary second stage , so trying to see what octopus would work well with it out of the box on the affordable side.
Looked at the aqualung ABS and the helix octos.
Will be used for rec diving, shallow depth, warm water mostly.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Not sure where you are based, but in Europe you can easily get the Helix Pro and Compact Pro (which I like better) with the Helix octo.

Thanx for the reply
Based off of Florida.
Saw the regular version on sale for $300, without the octo, figured it was a good deal

I would recommend picking up either another Helix 2nd stage or a Core. The Helix is just a rebadged Core. The yellow octo of either is just a detuned version of the regular version, so there is no reason to specifically get the octo version. While the ABS octo has some merits, it is not as high a performer as a standard 2nd stage and would recommend investing in the latter instead.

Anything is acceptable (except the ABS)
Ideally an identical 2nd stage (in original or octo format)
