Has anyone been able to compare these two fins? Looking to purchase my first pair. The Blades are less expensive as the are being "closed out", that's what I'm told anyway.

I have not tried the Express, I do like the Blades II as long as they are not the Flex version.

Sorry, I missed your question.
The Flex version will be clearly marked and it has a soft rubber center at the end of the blade tip.
My guess is a partial attempt to combine both the blade style and get some of the split fin action. It works good in calm waters but is too flexible to get strong thrusts in currents.
