I am trying to decide between a 3mm AquaFlex or 3mm HydroFlex for a trip to the western Caribbean at the end of September. What is the difference between them?

And would either of these be warm enough given that I use a SolaFlex 7/8 for diving in Southern California waters?

Thanks!
Ron

Hi Ron,
The Aquaflex suit is warmer because the seams are glued and blind stitched and prevent water entry.
The Hydroflex suit uses a flatlock seam. The difference is noticeable. Which one is best for you depends upon the specific temperatures as well as your personal tolerance for cold. When in doubt, error on the warm side and get the Aquaflex. If you're too warm, you can always unzip it during the dive. If you get the Hydroflex and you are too cold, you could be miserable.

You may want to write to the resort destination that you're heading to for further advice. Good luck
