I'm going to keep one for myself and sell the others. But, I was wondering how the regulators compared to one another for performance, quality and price in their day for my own understanding of their history and impact on the advancement of diving technology.

The best way to increase your understanding would be to restore and dive one of the mistrals, one of the DAs, and the royal. Then you'll know how they compare.

However, if what you really want is to keep only one for your own diving, no question, the RAM (royal aquamaster) is the one.

Or.....keep a DA and upgrade with a phoenix nozzle, which will give you RAM performance as well LP and HP ports for accessories.

Nice find, I wish I had your problem!;)

As the DW StreamAir and the DW Mistral are practically the same regulator, I'd keep the StreamAir for it's rarity and "ohh" factor when used for diving, and sell the Mistrals.

Ditto on the DA and RAM, keep one DA for conversion to a Phoenix valve, and the RAM for what it is, the best all around two stage double hose regulator from USD.

If you can only keep one, then the choice becomes personal. If it is a display unit that you won't dive (or hardly ever dive) I'd go with the DW StreamAir; if it is originality and practicality, the RAM, and if it is something to modify and dive a lot, a DA with a Phoenix valve.

Though choice.
