Hi everyone,

Being a new diver, I figured I'd ask around here and see if anyone knew. I was told by my local dive shop when looking at equipment that that Legend LX and the Legend LX Supreme are basically the same unit and the LX can be adjusted to handle Cold Water temperatures just like the LX Supreme. The only different you'll notice is missing a lip cover that the LX Supreme has. Is this true? Can the adjustment be made? Will I be missing anything else?

Thanks,

Justin

Your local shop was telling the truth. I don't believe there is any difference at all in the first stage between the Legend LX and the Legend LX Supreme.

Both the Legend LX and Legend LX Supreme second stages have the adjustable breathing control adjustment that many people like. The Supreme version has the lip shield (which is a very inexpensive retrofit) and a different colored retaining ring on the faceplate (gold vs. silver ring).

There's very little difference. If you're deciding between the two regs, I'd just go with the cheaper one. In any case, there should only be about a $15 difference between the two.

Hope this info helps...

the Supreme has a lower LP and a lipguard. Buy a Legend and lowered the LP, that´s it
