Buy a Mako for $1500; service it for $75 dollars each year. After three years, free air.

(Also, remember, the costs of warranties are built into the purchase price of any product; including the Mako.):)

Are you talking to me? I am sorry I don't get what you mean. What is "Mako"?
Is this your toy for the annual service? I still miss you point.

I also have that one from my sister who did know the Scuba. My GF is using it though....
I don't feel any difference compared to SP MK25/S600 for my recreastional diving But, I think Apek is better in the cold water enviornment than my SP reg. with AF kit. Maybe, prejudice.....

Anyway, it is only $1500 for that compressor. It is a cheaper that I imagine.
It might be cost effect epending on how many dives with my buddies.
Someday......not yet.....

Own you own equipment, learn to service it yourself, and air-fill your own tanks.

I try to give my LDS as much business as I can, and in my case loyalty has its rewards. I never pay full price for anything, and have never had to ask for a discount. It is given cheerfully, And there have been times when I have been told that if didn't mind waiting I could buy cheaper through mail order. Price aside, there are other intangibles that should make you support an LDS. Not the least being solid informed information and advice on just about every aspect of diving and equipment. not to mention A neet place to visit in the off season and meet other divers. So for my way of thinking,The extra money that I have spent over time has more than paid a dividend back to me. DBG40
