Monterey Sea Conditions at a Glance

The buoy is reporting 1.7 foot swell from the southwest. And what's more,

TODAY...W WINDS 10 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS. MIXED SWELL NW
3 TO 5 FT AT 8 SECONDS AND S 2 FT AT 13 SECONDS.

And I bet we're all sitting at work right now. Can it get any worse?

Yes.. you could take a day off to go diving and find that there is crap ft of vis.

That actually makes me feel better. Thanks :)

i would rather be diving in crap vis then staring at the cubicle walls.

If that's all it takes.. then you could always color in the glass of your mask with a black marker, fill your tub with ~79degree water (pretty close to the temps you might see in the tropics), drag a tank and regs next to your tub and enjoy. Crap vis diving in your own home. If you like salt water crap vis diving, synthetic sea salt mix is available from your local aquarium store.

This gives me an idea for a virtual reality mask with an embedded LCD screen...
