I just received an add for the Apollo Bio Filter. Seems like a very nice add on to prevent drymouth. Is this just another method of separating us from our money or is it valid? I am also concerend that this is another point of failure.

Anyone have any comments, having used or tested this device. Inquiring minds want to know.

I think you're correct when you stated it might be another point of failure. I've stayed away from it due to the freeze-up potential. I dive in cool to cold water, and that thing would be a block of ice waiting to happen, so

No, I don't own one, and probably never will.
