So your atx 50 does not have free flow issue. I see.
A lot of tech divers can give you advice on what to use, a lot of old threads talked about it too, I appreciate the input given by all.

Instead of tell which brand, let me give out a pointer, let's see what Navy use for cold water regulator.

Section 001 -> 1.4 cold water scuba regulator

While I have never dropped my regs into 160' of cold water for an entire winter, I can say that they were designed to work in extreme climates, and do so very well. If you have had a freeflow issue because of use in cold conditions, simply have it serviced by a shop that understands the IP pressure needs to be adjusted to compensate for the water temp. It is a non issue, so I would'nt worry about it.

I have heard different info before...
The atx has free flow issues that tx or xtx does not have, maybe tx, xtx and atx users can comment on this. Again, this is just what I've heard of, need to verify.

There couldn't possibly be any "freeflow" issues with the ATX that is not present in the TX and XTX. The air valves are identical. The regulators are essentially the same. Apeks regulators have fewer "free flow" issues than almost any regulator I have seen. Free flow issues with regulators are typically an issue of set-up and adjustment, not regulator design (I say this with qualifications).
