padudle:
hello

A stainless steel backplate is a lot of weight to haul around airports and into taxis.

Have you weighed your BC. I think you'll be surprised that is doesn't weigh much less than a SS BP. Plus the BP/W packs so much better than most BC's. I has a Zeagle Brigade which is supposed to pack better than a ranger, but my BP/w packs much better.

I did look at the web site, and it is interesting. I'd like to try one of their backplates to see if it's as comfortable as my current 1. But I'll still be going with the SS even if I buy 1 of their BPs.

PerroneFord:
Just an honest question because I see this come up a lot. I understand that these "adjstable harnesses" could be a godsend for a dive shop trying to move to BP/W for class purposes.

But for personal use, why do people like them? I use a hog harness, and after initial adjustments, I really don't WANT my adjustments moving. So what advantage does the adjustable harness bring that people are willing to pay so much more money for.

Again, I am just really curious.

Thanks.

Ok..As I stated before the weekend that I would personally see one of my Oxycheq Adjustable harnesses in action.

This was the lady's Wing/BP setup.
Wing: Oxycheq Mach V
Harness: Oxycheq adjustable harness.
Plate: Hamerhead with DIY STA.

She told me after the dives were over that it did not feel like she had a rig on at all. By switching over to the BP/WING she knocked off over 14 LBS of lead for use with her drysuit.

The harness did not move and was very stable. That did not supprise me. She now want's smaller weight pockets from me.
