Well,
Being a relative newbie(about 20 openwater dives,)I have taken the plunge and invested into my first dive gear. I have purchased a TX50 Reg with a TX 40 octo and a Suunto Cobra for me and the wife *wince*. Most of my decision making was made due to a lot of the comments on this board.
Yes..I did go mail order because of the tremendous amount of savings that I could get. My local dealer seemed to think that giving me MSRP was a "good" thing. I do realize that I need to support my local dealer but this just went a little too far.
In any event....a couple of question
I remember seeing something on the board about attaching the Cobra to the Apeks TX50..I just cant find it anymore ! I just want to be prepared when I get it at the end of the week. Could someone please repost what the catch is or how you actually do it ??
Secondly, BCD..I am looking at a Seaquesst PRO QD and a Seaquest Diva LX for the wife....I am not afraid to drop some $$ since it is all really life dependent gear. Any comments on this choice...
I want to thank everyone for all of their wonderful postings it really made the decision making process a lot easier
Thanks for all of the help...
Piet
