The half inch port has been dropped on the FSR/FST, not on the DST.
The FST always had better RMV than the FSR.
The DST has not bee changed.
The venturi knob has been redesigned to be more ergonomic.
The second stage is not smaller than the ATX series.
All of them come with both exhaust tees except the XTX40 and the XTX20.
The purge has also been modified to be less sensitive to current and freeflow.

So, in plain english, this facelift is better or not? Does Apeks increases the price on this facelift?

We are looking forward to getting your expertise.

Thanks in advance,

Here's a description from the Apeks website regarding the first stage of the XTX50:

First Stage

Swivel turret body
4 medium pressure ports, 4 x 3/8" UNF
2 high pressure ports, 2 x 7/16" UNF
Environmentally dry sealed system
Polished chrome finish
Balanced for superior performance

I would assume that this is a DST with 4x 3/8" ports.

I don't know if it's better, but that second stage sure is ugly.

Although the link says that the 1/2" port has been dropped, I was convinced that I read it somewhere. I think that along with their bladder and harness they may be going a little more DIR.

As for the face plate, yes it is easily unscrewed, and I think they make you look bad ***. I already have mine on order.

"oh look honey, this reg matches the teal trim on my Zeagle BC perfectly!" :D

My goodness. . .
The nitrox version looks like something the Power Rangers would wear.

I have to agree....I like the new features of the XTX, but don't care for the looks of the face plate. Oh, well....

......so, does anyone know when the new XTX series regs will be available in the U.S. market ?
