tbone: Haha. Who knows, maybe I will end up with Poseideons somewhere down the road? :)

Apeks 1st stage are quiet confusing....i have possibility to buy 2 of 1st stages for my deco gases....
They looks like this:

same as here: DST
except there is no where written XTX...they are XTX or ATX?

Apeks has designated their 2nd stages XTX, ATX, TX, Flight and whatever the new MTX second is, there are several variations of most of the second stages. Their 1st’s are the UST, DST, DS4, US4, MTX and Flight. Which 1st is paired with which second is a little confusing to me but the designation for a set seems to be based on the 2nd stage designation.

the newer XTX revision DSTs have XTX etched on the outer casing. older ones do not. the TX and ATX vintage DST have a 1/2 inch LP port which was changed to standard 3/8 inch on the XTX revision.

All is not lost, with a bit of time, care and effort it is possible to refurbish a damaged fixed orifice. Not me but someone I know did this.

Mares HP seat installation tool + tiny bit of fine steel wool + bit of luck = success!!!

No need for Mares tool.

Apeks sell a polishing tool for the crown orifice. Part AT73.
^^This. It is more expensive than new regulator body BTW. I know, because I have one.

Those designations are for second stages. Difference is that you can change sides on XTX series. for example if you dive bungee secondary, you can change it so the LP hose comes from the left.

If the orifice is damaged beyond repair, new regulator body is about 50€.

yes that was proper idea and answer....It have a 1/2 inch LP....;)
Is it possible to change all top part to get normal LP port?

You can get an adapter/converter that converts 1/2” LP ports to the standard 3/8” LP ports. Dive Gear Express in the US sells them. I would assume they are available in Europe somewhere.
There is also an Apeks part that will add a 5th LP port on the end of the turret by replacing the turret bolt.

there are adapters available for conversion 1/2" LP port in older DTS to regular 3/8" hoses. When set-up it unnoticable, except several mm of elenght and extra metal material which is great for heat disepation - cold water:wink:

Bought one when changing for long hose and fits with no problems.

info on PM, I dont know if I may post page address of shop (rules of forum?) even though I have no personal benefit
