Good evening,

I ordered two Apeks DS4 DIN with ATX 200 second stages last week. They were delivered to my house this evening and I got about 10 seconds to look at them before I left for work. I see that the first stage is in a port on the opposite side of the rest of the ports. Is this a standard fitting like most other regulators or is it a different size? It looked different to me but I only looked at them briefly. If they are different can someone give me a part number for the plug and an adapter. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean... on one side there are two (edit because I'm a moron) 3/8" LP ports, and on the other side are two more equal LP ports and an HP port.

I'm not sure what you mean... on one side there are two 1/2" LP ports, and on the other side are two more equal LP ports and an HP port.
DS4 should have 4 x 3/8" LP ports, and a single 7/16" HP port.

VaJames,

Did your ATX200 second stages come attached to the DS4 first stages? The ATX200 second stage is usually sold with the ATX200 first stage, and the regs would be on a 1/2" port. If yours didn't come assembled, you might have accidently received second stages on 1/2" hoses when you're going to need 3/8" hoses.

Can you post a picture at all or provide more information?

Any particular reason you went with the ATX200 second stage over the ATX50 second stage, seeing as you didn't go with the ATX200 first stages?

I don't know why I said ATX 200. The second stages are TX50's. Sorry about that. I was scrambling on the net looking for info. They are both TX50's on DS4 DIN first stages. I blew that one all to crap. The reason that I am asking is because I need to order a 7' hose for my primary. I am at work so I cannot send a pic of what I am talking about but I can when I get home in the morning. Did this help any?

Just get a 7' hose with 3/8" fitting on the end - you should need an adapter of any type. DS4 has all "standard" 3/8" LP ports.

The second stage that comes with an ATX200 is the same as an ATX50 other than the face plate. The difference between an ATX50 and an ATX200 is the first stage, the second stages are the same. So what you have is the same as a DS4/ATX50?

A DS4 first stage, either DIN or Yoke, does not have a ½” port. It has two 3/8” MP port on each side and a single 7/16” HP port on one side.

Scubaroo,

Thanks alot!! That takes a weight off my shoulders. There is only one place in Richmond that services APEX and they are on the other side of town from my house. I ordered my regs in Va Beach because those guys know more about tech diving and doubles setups. I want to try them out this weekend instead of having to order a bunch of stuff and wait another week. This is my first "tech" rig. I am doing the check out dives for advanced nitrox and deco theory June 7 and 8. Thanks for the help fella's.
