Hi @LL,

I'm posting to learn if someone can tell how to appropriately clean the Environmental End Cap of the first stages DB4/MTX-RC/R.
This Environmental End Cap consists of a rubberised material mould on top of a metal cap which acts as a Hydrostatic Diaphragm. I noticed a little bit of salt deposit on the threads and I wanted to remove it completely. Soapy warm water and a brush is not doing the trick and I don't want to put it through BIOX and ultrasonic before knowing it's safe to do it (that won't damage the rubberised material).

Any pointers regarding this, will be appreciated.

I'd highly recommend Salt-Away, which is listed as safe for use on plastics and is very good at lifting the salt crystals. It does leave a thin residue, so for parts that are going to be in contact with high-pressure gas I normally clean them after using Salt-Away with Simple Green. For your environmental cap you could probably leave them, however.

Scrape it out with a spare underwire or pick thing, did you keep the metal inserts from your last car wiper change
