What reg would you get, and why??? The Apeks ATX100 or Aqua Lung Legend LX… I will be using it all over the world warm and cold water….

Thanks,

Actually, I'd opt for an Apeks TX50/DS4 & save a few bucks, the performance between that & the ATX100 is going to be real close, though if you're doing a lot of traveling, the Aqua Lung may be a better choice, as they have pretty much a worldwide "in stock" parts availability.

In the US, the "default" 1st stage for the ATX50 is the DST, for the TX50, its a DS4.
As mentioned, the ATX is just a little smaller than a TX. Unless you have them side by side (or reading the label), it's hard to tell the 2 apart. They both use the same rebuild kit.
You're looking at the "revolving turret" at the end of the DST where the hoses come in/out. The DS4 is essentially the same 1st stage, but the body is all one chunk, & a tad shorter. Here too, they both use the same rebuild kit, though all the Apeks diaphragm 1st stages do. (good thinking on their part).
Cost wise the TX50/DS4 is in the neighborhood of $20 - $30 cheaper.
