The idea of going to a LDS and paying for AQUALUNGS kit at $89 for something I can do myself is hard to swallow.
Understand that if you purchase the conversion kit from Leisurepro, you'll be responsible for installing it yourself. It's a very easy conversion, but it helps to know what you're doing.

Alternatively, you could provide the conversion parts (bought online from Leisurepro) to your local reg tech and have him make the conversion at the next scheduled overhaul. There should be no additional charge for this because the reg is completely disassembled and then reassembled during the overhaul process.

Converting a yoke-configured reg to DIN makes sense if you own your own HP steel tanks. If you're still renting AL80s which typically have a yoke valve, then I'd recommend just sticking with the yoke configuration.

The optimal adventure in getting to know gear.
