I use singles and doubles (singles primarily) and am looking for a bladder for my BP/harness. Have looked around and seen the DR Rec Wing recommended several time and now receommended the Oxycheq wing by someone. Can anyone offer any thoughts to assist me in my choice?

I've never seen the Rec wing whole-heartedly recommended. The Oxycheq Mach 5 is a beautiful thing.

I have Oxycheq wings for both my single and double tank set up. Before deciding on them, I did some research and asked for advice here. Oxycheq was the winner in all respects. It's streamlined, tough, has a bladder that can be easily exchanged, and trims out just right for me.

I love my OxyCheq wing, as I've found it to be well shaped, durable, reliable, and more reasonably priced than comparable products from other manufacturers.

I owned a DR RecWing in the past. It was my first wing, and although I didn't appreciate the difference at the time, in hindsight it's the worst wing I've owned. I mostly attribute it's shortcomings to the manufacturer's attempt to make it good for both single tank and double tank diving. The compromises that required make it excessively large for single tank diving (55# IIRC) and prone to folding around the tank like a taco shell which made it unnecessarily difficult to dump, and also made it too narrow for doubles diving, which caused it to get pinched between the tanks and difficult if not impossible to inflate fully. I'd steer well clear of that wing, and get seperate wings for single and double tank diving.

excellent feedback, thank you. Which Oxywing would you recommend for use with singles AND doubles? any one in particlular? with 50 lb lift.....

I'd recommend the Oxycheq Signature Series 30# wing(don't have the Mach V) for singles and ... ask MattS about the doubles wing. I went from a back inflate bcd w/ a 60# bladder to a BP/W harness set-up w/the OC 30# and wow what a difference! Much more streamlined and hydrodynamic in the water as well as putting you in a more horizontal position.

None.

tough part for doubles would be having enough lift when carrying extra bottle and Id like one wing that I can use for both.

I have the OxyCheq 50# lift wing for use with my doubles and have found it most satisfactory. I use the DR Trekwing for my singles.

Use your Ranger wing for doubles and get a Mach 5 for singles.
