The only mask that I have used that really seals well is Genesis masks, I have 9 different masks from several different mfrs. It seems that the pronounced notch at the upper lip area of the genesis mask is the reason. Does anyone else have this problem? The mask I use a genesis panaview even though it does not leak much it sometimes feels like it is encroaching into my eye socket area and can be uncomfortable. I find myself equalizing my mask often at times to alleviate this. I wish I had more options.

I went looking for a black-skirted single lens mask at my LDS and the one I liked the best happened to be a Genesis. Been using it for about a month now and I'm very pleased with it.

What mask did yo use previously??

I also use a Pan View. I have 2 masks, 1 with a purge & 1 without. The one with the purge give me a little trouble when the purge valve gets filled with debris & starts leaking. I have to clean it out about once a month. The other mask I have without the purge valve is very similar. Personally I like having the purge valve because I'm a natural nose breather & it at least lets me exhale with comfort & not too much fogging. My mask without the purge valve tend to fog quite a bit. If you look closely at my avatar you can see what it does to my eyes (no offense meant to anyone- it's just what it does). Overall I like the Pan View masks. I've had the single lens masks in the past & I would feel somewhat clausterphobic in those. I like the extra field of vision, even though it takes some getting used to, to see out the side panes.

OK, so my avatar is too small to see. It bascally give me some slant to my eyes (once again no offense meant to anyone).

The nosepiece in my panview is too small and hurts like hell. I think this may be what causes it to leak a bit at the nose skirt. And yes it is better when I shave but it still does it. Hmmm, guess I need a new nose cause the mask has grown on me otherwise.
