I hear ya. That's why I'm looking for thinner base layers to get rid of what I use now.

The 3 layers look like a similar concept to the Lavacore/Exowear etc stuff. I hear some people wear those under a drysuit, next to the skin and the main undergarment on top of that.

I'll probably start with this: BasePro Tee

Then heated vest.
Then Columbia Omniheat base layer.
If that did the trick and nothing else under my undergarment, that would be great.

I use the following for my layering solution with great results

Columbia Onmiheat, swiftwick socks (cycling socks)- base layer
DUI 300g pant, long sleeve, socks - insulation
DUI TLX - drysuit

What is it with americans and their synthetics!

WOOL!

Wool is naturally wicking. It is the ONLY fabric that also retains insulation properties also when wet.
It is also naturally resistant to odours!

Wool can be used as base layers, midlayers, top layers and in-between layers.
Combining polyester, spandex and elastane just sounds like a proper recipe to be wet, cold, miserable AND smelly.
