Drinking by tables. Who does that anymore? I use a computer. It allows more drinking time and should you get into trouble it calculates the drunko stops for you.

I was waiting for somebody to say something along these lines.

There will always be a place for old school ways...

Everyone should be able to work a multi-level drink profile using the tables in case their computer quits.

(I keep track by poking holes in a cardboard coaster....not a fan of ink on my hands.)

Level 1: Drink in hand, other hand away from table.
Level II: Drink in hand, other elbow on table.
Level III: Both hands on drink.
Level IV:Both hands on drink, head on table.
Level V:Under table

If we are being serious about this, one useful technique is to drink a glass of water between each beer. In addition to lowering the net alcohol concentration of what you are drinking, it breaks up the dehydration-thirst-guzzle cycle. Alcohol dehydrates you and makes you thirsty, and if you quench with more alcohol, it fuels a feedback cycle that can end badly in a variety of ways.

The things one learns on SB...!!

ggunn - pretty sure this has not gone beyond all seriousness ;)

The execution -

There was a man killed Tuesday, I think it was, behind the Jehovahs Witness church on the transversal road. The story on the local news was that he was told to meet some men back there (on a deserted road that is under construction) and when he showed up they popped him twice in the head. It was reported to be drug activity and it was unclear at the time if the person killed lived on the island. There was speculation that he had recently rented a house in the Corpus Christi area, but that is not confirmed. They were not releasing his name yet. They may have figured that all out by now. But they were calling it an 'execution' on the news and in the papers.

This happend two blocks from our house. My fiancé is a local and he is my source of information. He drove by it and saw the body under the sheet as they were taking it away and asked a cop what was going on. They told him it was a drug deal gone bad.

I posted a link before about somebody they had caught but it was for a different shooting.......somebody who was shot in the buttocks......I think his name was Forest Gump.
