If you look in the attached photo, there is a batstar off to the right hand side of the screen, dingy or partially covered in sand, etc. Between that one and the partial at the top of the screen, however, there is a little 10 "legged" creature that caught my interest while I was editting the photo. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

I immediately thought that it was a little sun star but I am not well-versed on these matters.

Thanks!

PS: There appears to be a second one nearly off screen on the bottom right.

hard to tell, but I'd say it looks like an anemone of some sort...

Yea, I have wondered what those things are too. Couldn't find them in any of the usual places that I look for IDs. I don't think they are anemones -- when you look at them in real life, they look brittle rather than soft.

I don't have an answer either, however the first time I saw them was at South Monastery. They suck into the sand if you get close.....

Hmmmmm the mystery continues!!! :) I like the thought of them being little sunstars but if they are stuck to the sand, maybe anemones are more likely.

Hm..according to my expert method of creature identification, it's a little blue grey legged thingy. :-)

Is that the scientific name? :)
