My wife's Uwatec Air Z Nitrox battery recently died and when we got the computer back from Scubapro it no longer reads the tank pressure. It's been years since I originally "paired" up the computer with the transmitter and I've forgotten how it's done. I remember it was simple but don't remember the steps. Help!!!

Thanks, but the manual for the Air Z Nitrox on the website doesn't tell how to pair up the computer with the transmitter.

I looked it up for the Air Z- how different could it be?

1) shut off the tank valve and depressurize the reg and wait 15 sec
2) switch on the computer (contacts B & E- the two on the right) and place the left side of the computer on the tip of the transmitter, making physical contact
3) open the tank valve and the computer will flash PAIr
4) confirm the pairing by pressing contact B & E within 5 sec. The computer will beep and the PAIr will stop flashing.
5) tank pressure will be displayed after about 10 sec
6) if it doesn't work, it will display FAIL. Try again, and don't forget to wait at least 15 sec after purging the regulator.

hope that helps

The short answer is, I don't know. I do have the Air-X Nitrox manual though, so maybe that'll help:

1. Shut the valve, purge the regulator and wait for 15 seconds.

2. Switch on the dive computer (contacts B and E) and move it into the position shown below. (shows tip of antenna butted against left side of computer)

Transmitter and dive computer must be in physical contact during the entire pairing procedure.

3. Open the tank valve. The transmitter briefly sends a pairing sequence to the computer.

4. The dive computer shows a flashing <PAIr> in the display-position of tank pressure shortly after the valve has been opened.

5. In order to confirm the pairing, the B- and E-contacts have to be bridged within 5 seconds. A bleep confirms the input and the <PAIr> display remains still. The computer and transmitter must remain in physical contact until the confirmation has been done.

6. Tank pressure is displayed after approximately 10 seconds.

Edit: Oops. Alternatively, follow Easy's surprisingly similar directions.
