My buddy called me this morning from Crescent and said he saw a bunch of police and a Coroners van at Shaw's and medics were working on a diver on the beach. Anyone down there this morning?

Robb,

An OC Divebum was there this morning and reported a female had died. He speculated that she was not a diver. If I hear of anything I will post.

Apparently it was some one on the beach, most likely a homeless person who was found on the 4th. I talked this morning with one of the first people to find him/her along with some fishermen who called the police. Sad, but good that it was not a diver, as the lifeguards don't need more reasons to want to ban SCUBA in Laguna!
Dive Safe.

I dove at Shaw's on the 5th. While I was waiting at the top of the stairs, a Laguna Beach Police Officer drove up. I asked him if it was a diver or beach goer that had died the day before. He said that a female body was found and that it appeared as if she had committed suicide.

I haven't seen anything in the paper about it though.
