Anyone hit the Bass, U853 or Idene this weekend?

Looking for a vis, bottom temp and thermocline report.

Thanks in advance.

I have not been there yet this year but a friend reported this on another board from less than 2 weeks ago.

"Got out to the USS Bass early this morning hoping to beat the weather. Cold and dark but AMAZING visibility. Had to be better then 60 feet. I was not even at the break and I could see the bow section very clearly, from the break I could see almost all of the bow section. The water temperature on the bottom was 41F and the hang was 46F. With 70 minute run times on dive one, we exited the 46F water somewhat chilled. Facing a two hour surface interval, with the wind and sea state building, we opted to declare victory and head for the beach."

FWIW; spent this weekend rooting around the bottom of Boston Harbor. We had decent vis of 15 feet and a balmy 41 degree :11: water temp at depth.

i was on the idene on saturday, viz was an easy 30-40 ft, it was beautiful, bottom tep was 47-48some folks on the boat were diving wet, tons of life on the wreck, dogfish, ling, cod and a small blue shark

When we were launching the boat at Wetherill Sunday to go dive the Teti, I heard some divers in the parking lot saying the vis at the U-853 was about 40ft on Saturday. Of course, that is secondhand info overheard in a parking lot, so take it for what it is worth.
